ReelCaps (“we”, “us”) is operated by [YOUR FULL NAME / BUSINESS NAME]. This policy explains what data we collect when you use ReelCaps, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

• Account details — your email address if you sign up with email/password or Google. Guest accounts use only a device identifier.
• Device identifier — a random id stored on your device so guest sessions and your video library work without an account.
• Your media — the videos you upload, the audio extracted from them, the transcripts our AI produces, and the captioned MP4s you export.
• Payment metadata — order id, amount, plan and payment status from Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI id, or bank credentials; those go directly to Razorpay.

2. Why we collect it

Solely to provide the captioning service: transcribing your speech, letting you edit captions, rendering exports, keeping your library available during your plan’s storage window, applying your credits and quota, and providing support. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

3. How your videos are processed

Uploaded videos are processed on ReelCaps servers. Audio is transcribed by AI speech models running on our infrastructure to produce word-by-word timings, and your final export is rendered there as well. Your media may optionally be stored on Cloudflare R2 object storage on our behalf.

4. Storage and auto-deletion

Media is kept only for your plan’s storage window, then automatically deleted from our servers:

• Free — 7 days
• Top-up packs (Starter/Boost/Mega) and Creator plan — 30 days
• Pro plan — 45 days
• Studio plan — 60 days

You can delete any video yourself at any time from My videos— deletion removes the source video, transcript and exports.

5. Third parties

• Razorpay— processes all payments (cards, UPI, netbanking). Your payment details are handled under Razorpay’s own privacy policy.
• Google — only if you choose Google sign-in; we receive your email address from Google.
• Cloudflare R2 — optional object storage for uploaded and exported media, subject to the same auto-deletion windows above.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use only what the service needs to function: a session token to keep you signed in and a device id for guest accounts, kept in cookies/localStorage. There are no advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies.

7. Your rights

You may request a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to delete your account and all associated media, by emailing support@[yourdomain.com]. You can also delete individual videos anytime from My videos.

8. Children

ReelCaps is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision; material changes will be announced in the app.
